What is the purpose of the Security Answer?

The Security Answer plays a key role in the security of your Chainsfr transfer. It is used to ensure the identity of the recipient (the person receiving the money), and protect the transfer from being intercepted by someone other than the intended recipient.

Prior to collecting the money, the recipient must correctly answer the Security Answer. The answer can be compared to a shared secret between the sender and the recipient. Therefore, if someone other than the recipient tries to deposit the money, s/he will be unable to answer the Security Answer, and ultimately unable to collect the money.

The sender will be notified via email and advised to deposit the money back into his/her account if the recipient failed to answer correctly.

Who is responsible for creating an effective Security Answer?

The sender of the Chainsfr Transfer is responsible for creating an effective Security Answer for each transfer.

How do I create an effective Security Answer?

Here are some important Do's and Don'ts to assist in creating a Security Answer:

  1. DO select a answer that is a shared secret between you and the recipient.
  2. DO contact the recipient over the phone or in person to ensure s/he knows the answer and the correct spelling of the word.
  3. DON'T select a answer that is too simple to guess. Example: 'Yes' or 'No'.
  4. DON'T include the Security Answer in the 'Message' field of the transaction, or send the Security Answer in an email to the recipient.

How do I inform the recipient of the Security Answer?

To confirm the recipient knows the correct Security Answer, contact him/her in person or by phone. Please do not include the Security Answer in an email to the recipient, or in the 'Message' field when sending a Chainsfr Transfer.

I can't remember the Security Answer for my recipient. Where can I find this information?

The Security Answer for each transfer is available on your transfer history list under "Transfer" page:

It can also be found at transfer receipt page by clicking the "View Receipt" button in your transfer history list, or by following the "view details" link in the confirmation email sent to you (shown below).
